SECTION 6 - ANNUAL AWARDS

AWARD COMMITTEE

An Award Committee, to consist of the President, any two members of the Executive Committee and one representative from each of the Billiards and Snooker Committees, as determined by the Executive Committee, will be responsible for selecting the winners of the following three awards.

The Award Committee may, at its discretion, decide that one or more of the following awards shall not be awarded in a given year and is empowered to withhold from presentation in that year.

MERIT TROPHY

This Trophy will be awarded annually together with a miniature to the player or players who, in the opinion of the Award Committee, has given the most outstanding performance or performances in any competition organised under the auspices of the Guernsey Billiards and Snooker Association.

AWARD FOR MOST IMPROVED PLAYER OUTSIDE OF THE PREMIER DIVISION

This will be awarded annually, together with a miniature to the player or players, excluding those registered for a team in the Premier Division, who, in the opinion of the Award Committee, has improved the most during the past season in leagues and competitions organised under the auspices of the Guernsey Billiards and Snooker Association.

AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT BY A PLAYER OR TEAM OUTSIDE OF THE PREMIER DIVISION

This will be awarded annually, together with a miniature to the player, players or team registered outside of the Premier Division that, in the opinion of the Award Committee, recorded the most outstanding achievement during the past season in leagues and competitions organised under the auspices of the Guernsey Billiards and Snooker Association.

BACHMANN TROPHY

This trophy will be awarded to the member who receives the most points achieved by playing in the Individual Snooker, the Individual Billiards, the Individual Billiards Handicap, the Norman Wale Snooker Handicap and the Snooker Handicap Pairs.

Points will be awarded as follows:

For reaching the quarter-finals                   One Point

For reaching the semi-finals                       Two Points

For being the runner-up                             Three Points

For being the winner                                  Four Points

In the event of a tie, the trophy will be shared.
