Dave Gilbert opens NSC’s new snooker room
Local snooker players and enthusiasts were treated to the sight of a current, high ranking professional visiting the North Social Club in Guernsey. Dave Gilbert, who made it through to the semi finals of this year’s World Championships before being knocked out by Kyren Wilson, played a number of frames to mark the opening of the NSC’s new snooker room.
Two new tables, with temperature control and steel block cushions, is a fantastic addition to the club’s and island’s facilities, with the world ranked number 22 the first to grace them. Gilbert beat everybody in front of him on the night as he demonstrated his ability to full effect, with a century break rounding off an entertaining evening.
